The City of Quincy, Illinois (population 40,915) seeks an Airport Manager for the Quincy Regional Airport.  The property consists of 1,100 acres with two 5,400 ft. and one 7,100 ft. runways with modern design.  Typical commercial aircraft consist of 50 seat passenger planes.  The facility includes a 20,000 sq. ft. terminal and separate maintenance buildings.  Current service offers daily flights to Chicago. 

The individual selected will be responsible for the overall administration of the airport.  Plans, directs, and coordinates the operations, construction, and maintenance of airport facilities in accordance with FAA Part 139 & TSA Part 1520 rules, regulations, and policies. Ensures that all aspects of the airport are functioning within these regulations.  Responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient operating environment.  This is a highly visible position requiring excellent communication skills.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with three to five years of increasing responsibility preferably in airport management at a small or non-hub commercial service airport.  There will be a strong preference for a candidate who has at least 3 years at a commercial airport in the number one or two position.  AAE accreditation is preferred.  Pilot license is a plus. Must have a valid State of Illinois driver's license.  Requires effective communications and administrative skills and the ability to balance a diverse environment with competing interests.  Knowledge of federal regulations and legal requirements pertinent to airport administration is critical.  Grant writing experience is a plus.  Must pass pre-employment physical, criminal history and employment background checks.
